This guidebook describes 45 day walks on the Canary Islands of La Gomera and El Hierro. These walks will suit walkers of all abilities from rugged mountain treks to coastal walks, including Camino de la Virgen GR 131 long distance trails. The 45 waymarked routes include 27 walks on La Gomera and 18 on El Hierro. All the walking routes have a detailed description, and illustrated with clear contour mapping along with inspirational photography. La Gomera and El Hierro are the 2 smallest of the Canary Islands and are very popular with walkers. They offer a wide variety of little-known walking terrain from steep-sided barrancos and dramatic cliffs to the gentler slopes inland cloaked in laurisilva and pine forests.
