- VL53L0X uses ST's FlightSense technology to accurately measure the time it takes for emitted infrared pulses to reach a target and reflect back to a detector, effectively a tiny self-contained lidar system. - Ranging measurements are available via the I2C interface (TWI); the sensor is configurable and provides a shut-off input and an interrupt output for integration flexibility. - The VL53L0X is a great IC, but its small, lead-free LGA package can be difficult to handle for students. It is recommended to operate from 2.8V, which can complicate interfacing with 3.3V or 5V MCUs. Our breakout board fixes these problems, simplifies getting started with the sensor, and keeps the overall size as small as possible. - The VL53L0X is a flight time measurement system integrated into a compact module. This card is a carrier for the VL53L0X.
