Perform setup only when the engine is warm to ensure normal idle speed. Choose a long, straight road with light traffic. The unit does not relearn the same hardware twice, allowing for easy on-road setup. You may pause during setup if needed. Always focus on the road and drive safely. 1. Turn on the ignition. The display counts down from 6 to 1, indicating memory is cleared. 2. When "L" is flashing, keep the engine in neutral and let it idle. 3. When the display shows "1", engage first gear, release the clutch, and maintain engine speed above idle. The display will flash faster as the device learns the hardware. 4. When the display shows "2", shift into second gear. 5. Repeat this process through all gears (5 or 6). 6. Once programmed, the unit will display the current gear correctly. 7. On subsequent startups, the display counts up from 1 to 6, confirming full functionality. Installation notes: Locate the connector under the fuel tank or under the seat.
