This Munros book provides a complete collection of maps for all the Munros in one book. This book provides a compendium of maps including coverage of every Munro (summits over 3,000') that will assist the planning of countless days of hillwalking and hiking. It is intended to be a source of reference at home to browse through in only a way that a book can be, whilst enabling map fans to while away happy hours flicking from peak to peak across Scotland. The book does not attempt to be a guidebook, but provides detailed maps that enable the walker to plan routes and trips. The book includes over 200 pages of mapping at scales of either 1:25,000 or 1:40,000. Every Munro is featured, most shown together with neighbours in the logical way they're generally climbed. The ranges sprawl far and wide across the pages, and with most standard starting points on display (except in the case of really remote hills) you can plot the whole day's walk. The mapping of Scotland's mountains has been closely intertwined with the 40-year life of Harvey Maps, so included is a little about the history, the people and the philosophy of the Company.
