SelfClosing Washing Machine Floor Drain

A purpose-built floor drain for washing machine discharge in residential and light commercial utility spaces. Dimensions support standard UK floor build-ups; unit weight is ~0.8 kg. Made from rigid, impact-resistant PVC with chemically stable silicone sealing elements. The core structure is fully detachable — composed of interchangeable tee, bend and straight pipe segments — and includes a top-mounted sealing cover for tool-free access. Dual anti-overflow functionality comes from a manually inserted sealing plug plus activated carbon-infused deodorising cores. Self-closing drain cores respond dynamically to water presence: opening fully during drainage and sealing hermetically once flow ceases. Compatible with 32 mm, 38 mm, 40 mm and 46 mm outlet pipes via four dedicated silicone compression rings — each tested for long-term resilience and compression set resistance. Ensures uninterrupted, quiet, odour-free operation across variable installation environments. Designed for use where space, pipe variance or maintenance frequency are constraints — especially in basement conversions, compact flats or landlord-managed properties requiring reliable, low-intervention drainage. Installation adapts seamlessly to both new builds and retrofits: the modular design supports directional changes without cutting or solvent welding, while the sealing cover allows routine core inspection without disturbing surrounding tiling or screed.
