This Cicerone walking Guidebook covers 100 scrambles in the northern part of the Lake District. The graded scrambles explore the rocks and ghylls of Wasdale, Ennerdale, Buttermere, Borrowdale, Blencathra and Thirlmere. Each section includes a map showing the location of the scrambles, and each route is accompanied by information on the grade, quality, aspect and approach, with colour maps and topos to aid navigation. The routes range from grade 1 (easy) to climbing grade VDiff.  Rock climbing equipment is needed for more difficult routes.
