The Schweiz ExtremOst rock climbing guidebook describes a selection of rock climbing and sport climbing routes at grades from F6a and above, in Eastern and Central Swiss Alps. The guidebook covers the areas from the Furka pass into the Alpstein and Vorarlberg to the Engadine, the guide covers a wide range of top climbing areas around the towns of Luzern, Meiringen, Goschenen, Schwyz, Sargans and Chur. In total 67 separate crags are described ranging from single pitch sport routes to multi-pitch routes up to 1,000m long with many routes between 200m and 500m long. For each crag the type of equipment required is detailed. So for single pitch sport routes rope length and number of quickdraws are detailed. For the multi-pitch routes the type of ropes required and any additional equipment such as nuts and cams are detailed. At the start of each area there is a good location map, along with useful information such as altitude, when the crag is in the sun and the style of climbing to be found. The crag topo's are very clear, with all the routes given French grades (each pitch if appropriate).
