Realistic Fake TV Simulator with Light Sensor

Dimensions: Not specified in source. Weight: Not specified. Power: 5V DC via included AC adaptor with British standard plug. Consumes minimal power — significantly less than a real TV. Constructed with durable plastic housing for indoor use. Features built-in ambient light sensor (trigger threshold >30 lux) that automatically activates unit at dusk. Offers four operational modes: OFF, DUSK+4HRS, DUSK+7HRS, and ON. Automatically deactivates if ambient light exceeds ~30 lux during operation — ideal for daytime entry or accidental exposure. Includes quick-mount plate and two screws for wall or shelf mounting; also stable for tabletop use without assembly. Designed specifically for home security applications including holidays, overnight absences, or long-term property vacancy. The simulator replicates authentic TV behaviour: dynamic scene transitions, variable brightness flashes, screen motion effects, and non-repetitive colour pattern shifts — avoiding predictable loops that could reveal its artificial nature. No audio output; purely visual deterrent. Use cases include short-term absence (e.g., evening out), extended travel, rental property management, or second homes left unoccupied. Works independently — no app, no Wi-Fi, no subscription. Plug-and-play setup with UK-standard power input.
