Outdoor 12V IR Door Motion Sensor

Compact, hardwired 12V DC infrared beam sensor system for outdoor door and gate detection. Transmitter and receiver units each measure 90 mm × 35 mm × 30 mm and weigh approximately 180 g. Enclosure features a one-piece waterproof lid and seamless weather-integrated chassis — rated for continuous outdoor exposure including heavy rain, frost, and wind-driven dust. Connects via standard 2-conductor cable to 12V DC supply and compatible receiving device (e.g., alarm panel, PLC, or smart home hub). Operation hinges on uninterrupted IR beam transmission: beam interruption triggers a validated output signal from the receiver. Key engineering features include thunder protection circuitry, regulated IR power output, and an adaptive AGC circuit with spectral filtering — collectively ensuring dependable detection across ambient light intensities up to 50,000 lux and in variable weather (light rain, haze, glare). Signal processing includes temporal validation to ignore sub-200ms interruptions — filtering out transient obstructions while preserving immediate response to door movement. Commonly used for residential driveway gates, double-leaf garden entrances, commercial loading dock doors, and remote estate access control — particularly where installer expertise varies, environmental conditions are unpredictable, and system uptime directly impacts security or automation workflow.
