The O2 CEL fixture has an integrated miniature catalytic converter that helps address engine light issues after exhaust modifications or removal of the catalytic converter. In some cases, it may also be useful when a high-flow catalytic converter is installed. Length does not usually play a role; this is an actual integrated catalytic converter unit. This O2 sensor simulator helps maintain signal feedback to the ECU, indicating that the catalytic converter is still in place. When the catalytic converter is removed, the O2 sensor may detect changes in temperature and increased levels of unburned fuel, which can trigger the check engine light (CEL). Common error codes include P0420 (catalyst system efficiency bank 1) and P0430 (catalyst system efficiency bank 2). This device is intended for off-road use only.
