Leather Working Compass Divider Tool with Quick Lock Nut, Carbon Steel

A versatile marking tool for leatherwork and woodworking This compass gauge is designed for accurate marking and measuring in leathercraft and woodworking projects. It combines several practical functions in one tool, allowing you to draw circles, straight lines and arcs with ease. The adjustable distance mechanism is secured with quick-release nuts, making it simple to set and lock your required measurement without fuss. Built from high-quality carbon steel with careful finishing, this tool offers a comfortable and reliable grip during use. The sturdy construction ensures it holds its position while you work, giving you consistent results across repeated markings. It is intended specifically for vegetable-tanned leather and crust leather applications, where precise scribing lines are essential for cutting, stitching and edge work. The pointed end can be used to scribe fine guide lines onto your material. If you find the tip too sharp for your particular surface, a quick pass with sandpaper will soften it to suit your preference. This makes the tool adaptable to different leather weights and working styles. Whether you are marking out hole positions, drawing consistent curves or transferring measurements onto your workpiece, this compass gauge earns its place in your workshop kit. Its straightforward design means you can focus on the task at hand rather than wrestling with complicated settings.
