Hot-Water Install Scroll Wheel Ring

Elastic rubber scroll wheel ring for 8–14 inch band saws, offered in five exact-fit sizes based on measured wheel diameters: 205 mm (8"), 230 mm (9"), 250 mm (10"), 315/317 mm (12"), and 350 mm (14"). Each size aligns with widely adopted blade lengths — 1425 mm, 1570 mm, 1826 mm, 2240 mm, and 2560 mm — promoting optimal tension and tracking performance. Manufactured from a rubber compound selected for predictable thermal expansion, mechanical resilience, and long-term dimensional stability under normal workshop humidity and temperature ranges. Installation requires only brief immersion in hot water (approx. 60°C) to soften and evenly extend the ring, followed by manual stretching onto the wheel and air-drying to set. This method avoids chemical bonding agents and preserves wheel integrity. Once fitted, the ring enhances grip and dampens resonance, resulting in smoother blade travel and improved cut fidelity — especially beneficial when working with dense hardwoods or thin laminates. Widely adopted by UK-based furniture prototypers requiring quick turnaround between design iterations, educational institutions equipping student workshops with low-maintenance consumables, and independent contractors maintaining mixed-brand tool fleets where universal-fit accessories reduce procurement complexity.
