Detects the current gear faster than other gear indicators that use the speedometer/tachometer signal. Display can be mounted anywhere Install: To find the gear display plug as Smoku technology to the product, then connected to the power line and the speed signal line is inserted into the tank below! Once the monitor is in place, check the cable for damage to the steering system! Configure: -You need to configure the module after installation. When the ignition is turned on, it will display backwards (6 to 1), which means the memory is clear. -Raise the rear wheel off the ground with a stand and start the engine in neutral. (If you don't have a stand, you can set up the device while driving. Find a long, straight road with light traffic.) The screen displays L, indicating that learning is started. Slowly accelerate by handle throttle -Display will flash "1". Select first gear, release the clutch and keep the engine speed above idle. The display flashes faster while the device learns the hardware. -When display shows "2", select two-position. Repeat this process until all runs have been thought of (5 or 6). The unit is programmed and should indicate the gears correctly. Now when the ignition is turned on it will flash forward (1 to 6) to indicate it is fully functional. (If there is an error in the learning process, please reset the gear display, thank you) Rest: If some gears are not displayed correctly, please reset the device and set it again. If you change the transmission (install a new front or rear sprocket) or install a speedometer (or other speedometer calibrator), you will probably need to reset and re-set it. Cut off the power to the unit 6 times in a row while the display counts and shows 3,4 or 5. You can turn the display on/off by turning the ignition key on/off. In the next power up, it will display counting backwards (6 to 1). The memory is now clear and you can complete the setup procedure.
