Overspeed signal (EIM Plus only) The ElM Plus monitors the speed signal from the magnetic sensor. If the engine speed rises above a preset value, the module sends a 0 volt signal to the generator set control panel to activate the overspeed fault circuit. Overspeed setpoints are factory set to 55 Hz (50 Hz units) and 66 Hz (60 Hz units). This can be adjusted using the adjustment screw that is accessed through the hole next to the overspeed setting LED. When the engine is running at rated speed (1500 rpm at 50 Hz and 1800 rpm at 60 Hz), adjust the adjusting screw until the overspeed setting LED just goes out.
