Durable 9.8cm Stainless Downpipe Filter

Measuring exactly 9.8 cm in diameter and 10 cm in height, this stainless steel downpipe filter guard is built for longevity and reliability. Its austenitic stainless steel composition offers inherent resistance to oxidation, chloride-induced pitting and UV-induced embrittlement — essential for sustained functionality in UK coastal, rural and urban settings. The integrated dual-layer system features a primary deflection plate above a secondary micro-perforated screen — together creating laminar water flow paths that maintain velocity and prevent sediment deposition inside the pipe, while rejecting both macro and micro debris types. Installation is tool-free and irreversible once seated: the guard’s conical profile ensures progressive compression against the inner pipe wall, generating sufficient friction to remain fixed during heavy runoff or vibration — suitable for both detached homes and terraced housing with shared drainage stacks.
