Corrosion Resistant SS304 Elbow

A robust 3/4 inch BSP female elbow fabricated exclusively from 304 stainless steel (SS304), meeting EN 10088-1 material specifications. Dimensions comply with ISO 7-1 for parallel pipe threads and DIN 2999 for forged fittings; nominal size corresponds to DN20, with outer diameter of 33.5 mm and length of 52 mm. Unit weight is 0.18 kg. The fitting exhibits excellent resistance to atmospheric moisture, chlorides and organic acids thanks to its 18% chromium / 8% nickel composition. It functions continuously between 50°F and 300°F (10°C–149°C) and holds pressure up to 150 LP (approx. 10 bar) when properly torqued and sealed. The ‘primary colour’ refers to the untreated, mill-finished appearance of annealed SS304 — providing immediate visual confirmation of authentic stainless content. Designed for permanent installation in fixed piping networks, this elbow enables directional redirection with minimal pressure drop. Its internal thread profile ensures optimal thread engagement depth and load distribution, reducing the risk of cross-threading during assembly. Surface roughness is maintained below Ra 3.2 µm to support effective sealing with standard PTFE tape or anaerobic compounds. Commonly used in university research labs handling solvent-based reagents, offshore equipment housings subject to salt-laden air, brewery CIP lines requiring repeated sanitisation, and district heating sub-stations exposed to fluctuating ambient temperatures.
