Copper Tree Stump Killer Nails Set

This set contains 25 individual hardware components designed specifically for mechanical-biological stump suppression: 23 copper nails (3.5 in × 3.5 mm), 1 stainless steel nail (3.5 in × 3.5 mm), and 1 cobalt high-speed steel drill bit nail (2.7 in × 3.5 mm). Total package weight is approx. 280 g. All metallic parts are selected for environmental resilience — copper resists oxidation in humid climates, stainless steel provides tensile strength for pilot work, and cobalt-enhanced steel retains hardness at elevated friction temperatures. The copper nails function by gradual ion leaching into cambial tissue, disrupting lignin synthesis and carbohydrate translocation — a slow but reliable method for halting regrowth in deciduous and some softwood species. The stainless steel nail serves as a durable reference point during layout, while the drill bit nail enables accurate, low-resistance pilot holes in dense heartwood or fibrous roots. Best suited for residential gardeners managing ornamental tree stumps, fruit tree suckers, or hedge base regrowth — especially where chemical restrictions apply (e.g., organic-certified plots, allotments, or properties near watercourses). Requires no power tools beyond a standard claw hammer and safety goggles.
