This instrument provides precise, multichannel light beam generation and adjustable spot control through a modular light pipe system. It is designed for independent adjustment of each light path and easy setup in optical alignment and testing environments. Modular, easy installation: components include light pipes, light pipe rack components, light intensity regulators, potentiometer knobs, light pipe rack legs, light source switches, power sockets, wiring, white screens, and white screen racks for a complete standalone setup. Clear visualization on the white screen: the white screen provides a stable plane for observing beam edges and spot quality, with a fixed spacing of about 140 mm from the end of the light pipe for consistent measurements. Robust construction for lab use: designed with durable light pipes and a rack system to support repeatable adjustments and reliable performance in educational and research settings. Structure and components Light pipe system: consists of a sleeveconnected assembly including the diode holder, condenser lens tube, and objective lens tube. The diode holder rotates and can expand inside the condenser lens barrel; the condenser lens barrel expands and contracts inside the objective lens barrel to adjust the beam spot size and definition. Support and controls: light pipe rack components, light pipe rack legs, light source switches, power sockets, light source wiring, and potentiometer knobs for adjusting light intensity. Viewing and alignment surfaces: white screens and white screen racks for consistently observing the beam spot. Light pipe mechanism and adjustment The light pipe is formed by the sleeve connections among the diode holder, condenser lens tube, and objective lens tube. The diode holder rotation and expansion, together with the expansion/contraction of the condenser lens barrel within the objective lens barrel, enable precise tuning of the outgoing beam spot on the white screen. Installation Install the support feet on the light pipe rack and on the white screen. Insert the light pipe into the round hole of the light pipe holder and rotate the ball to secure alignment. Position the white screen about 140 mm away from the beam exit end of the light pipe. Operation and beam adjustment Power on: switch on the device, energize the lightemitting diode. Align for sharp edge: adjust the position of the diode holder and the condenser lens tube until the edge of the light spot projected on the white screen is clearly defined. Independent channel tuning: adjust each of the three light pipes separately to achieve the desired spot characteristics. Use scenarios Optical alignment in research and education: simultaneously align multiple light paths to compare beam quality and spot sharpness on the white screen, useful in teaching optics and conducting experiments. Detector calibration and testing: project welldefined beam spots to calibrate sensors or photodetectors, ensuring accurate response and alignment across channels. Beam shaping demonstrations: demonstrate how adjusting the diode holder and condenser lens assembly affects spot size and edge definition, in classroom or lab demonstrations.
