8-Port 100Mbps Desktop VLAN Switch

This 8-port 100Mbps desktop switch combines industrial-grade silicon (IP178), intelligent VLAN segmentation, and UK-ready power delivery in a space-saving black plastic chassis. Dimensions support both horizontal desktop placement and vertical wall mounting; net weight is 207g (7.3oz). All ports comply with IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet standards, supporting full-duplex, auto-negotiation, and MDI/MDI-X correction. Power is supplied via included universal-input adapter (100–240V AC input, US plug), internally converted to stable DC output — eliminating external brick-style PSUs and minimising cable clutter. VLAN activation creates a hardened boundary: ports 1–7 lose Layer 2 reachability to each other, while the uplink port retains upstream connectivity — effectively creating a 'secure zone' for sensitive devices (e.g., POS terminals, CCTV NVRs) and an 'open zone' for general devices (e.g., laptops, printers). Deactivation returns to flat switching. No drivers, apps, or updates required. LED indicators confirm per-port activity; metal-reinforced sockets ensure longevity. Engineered for UK small businesses needing future-proofed infrastructure — whether expanding a home studio, securing a café’s Wi-Fi network, or building a smart-home backbone — where simplicity, security, and silent reliability are non-negotiable.
