Size (no antenna): 74 × 24 × 16 mm. Input voltage: 4.5–5.5 V DC. RS485 interface: 5V logic compatible, with dedicated A+, B−, GND and VCC pins. Frequency coverage: 433–458.5 MHz (255 channels). Transmit power: user-selectable from −40 dBm to +20 dBm (10 steps, max 100 mW). Receiver sensitivity: −114 dBm. UART baud rates: 1200 / 2400 / 4800 / 9600 (default) / 19200 bps. Air data throughput: 10–100 kbps. Free-space range: up to 500 m at 10 kbps. Thermal rating: −25 °C to +75 °C continuous. Enclosure: blue plastic and metal shell. Package contains two identical, fully assembled transceivers — ready for immediate use. Works in transparent mode: whatever enters the RS485 port exits wirelessly on the paired unit, bit-for-bit. Supports two operational modes: (1) direct 2-unit duplex link, or (2) multi-node network (≥3 units) using ID-based addressing — mimicking classic RS485 bus topology with master–slave roles and strict half-duplex arbitration. Internal MCU handles serial buffer management (31-byte limit), automatic air-rate adaptation, and ID filtering. Validated in demanding UK/EU installations: linking IP PTZ cameras across multi-acre sites; gathering data from distributed Modbus temperature sensors in food processing plants; synchronising LED controllers in architectural lighting schemes; activating RS485 relays (R4D3C32, N4D8B08, N4D8C12) in building management systems; enabling remote telemetry for water/gas meters; integrating with Wiser Home or third-party home automation hubs; securing entry points via wireless access controllers; and supporting AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) rollouts.
