3P 1000V PV Surge Arrester

Engineered for reliability in photovoltaic DC systems, this 3-pole surge arrester delivers up to 40 kA maximum discharge current (Imax) and 20 kA nominal discharge current (In), rated for continuous operation at 1000 VDC. Its enclosure is made from flame-retardant PC material, providing mechanical durability and resistance to environmental degradation. Internal protection circuits monitor overcurrent and temperature, automatically isolating the device under fault conditions. During voltage surges — such as those caused by nearby lightning strikes — the arrester rapidly clamps and diverts excess energy to earth. It mounts easily on standard 35 mm DIN rails and integrates directly with consumer units and PV combiner boxes. Operational range spans -40°C to +80°C, with IP20 ingress protection and humidity tolerance up to 90% RH (25°C avg). Status is indicated via integrated green/red visual indicators.
