This induction heating module operates on a low-voltage DC power supply of 12-48V, with a maximum current of 20A and maximum power of 1000W. The circuit is capable of induction heating and can function as an inverter when the copper coil is configured as a high-frequency transformer. It features a custom 8.5mm thick substrate to enhance heat dissipation, improving thermal performance. Cooling capacity is high. Tested to operate properly with a 53V power supply. Due to its moderate power output, it is suitable for DIY applications such as metal hardening, annealing, and other heat treatments. It can also be used with a crucible for melting metals such as gold, silver, copper, and aluminum. Heating is uniform and fast, offering convenient and efficient operation. The design minimizes heat generation in surrounding components, increasing overall efficiency. While the circuit can handle short-term input currents of 20-30A, it is recommended to operate safely at 15A or below. An ammeter can be connected between the power supply and the heating driver board to monitor current and prevent overload. Notes: The kit includes a complete driver circuit and brass components. Users must provide their own power supply and cooling system. The circuit board is made of double-sided fiberglass with widened copper traces for improved conductivity. The entire back surface serves as a common ground for the resonant circuit. For continuous operation, use a fan to blow air downward from above to cool the resonant capacitors and other components. When using a switching power supply, note that high-power models often have a soft-start feature, causing the output voltage to rise gradually. If the induction heating circuit is powered before the voltage reaches at least 12V, insufficient voltage may prevent oscillation, leading to simultaneous conduction of MOSFETs and potential component damage. Therefore, ensure the switching power supply voltage reaches at least 12V before connecting the induction heating circuit. The volume of the object being heated inside the coil should not be less than 1/5 of the coil's internal volume. For cylindrical objects, the coil diameter should not exceed three times the diameter of the object; otherwise, overload may occur, potentially damaging the power supply or circuit.
