1600V Common Cathode Solar Rectifier

This 3-terminal common cathode rectifier module delivers 1600V reverse voltage capability and 200A forward current handling in a compact industrial package. Housing is made of flame-retardant ABS; current-carrying terminals are solid brass for low-resistance, high-thermal-conductivity performance. Key electrical parameters include 12mA and 20mA leakage current on respective polarity sides, 2500V AC insulation rating, and a maximum junction temperature of 150°C. Its physical dimensions and mounting interface support rapid integration into photovoltaic DC infrastructure — particularly combiner boxes and DC distribution panels. The module’s internal semiconductor assembly uses a welded interconnect method rather than solder or wire bonding, resulting in improved mechanical durability and resistance to vibration and thermal shock. This contributes to stable forward voltage drop and predictable thermal response across its full operating range. Thermal performance is enhanced by direct brass-to-heatsink coupling: the brass terminals act as integral thermal spreaders, transferring heat efficiently from the die to the mounting surface — a critical advantage in sealed or poorly ventilated DC enclosures where ambient temperatures frequently exceed 60°C.
