160° Adjustable Outdoor PIR Sensor

This standalone PIR motion sensor is built for dependable outdoor lighting automation across the UK’s diverse climate and housing stock. Its 160-degree horizontal field of view captures lateral movement effectively—covering wider zones than conventional 110–120° units—while maintaining stable 6–8 metre detection at room temperature. All adjustments are made manually via three intuitive rotary dials: LUX (2–2000 lux) governs light-level dependency, TIME (8 sec–6 min) controls post-motion hold time, and SENS fine-tunes infrared gain to suit local environmental variables. Power is drawn directly from AC 85–265V—fully aligned with UK’s 230V nominal supply and harmonised EU voltage standards—removing compatibility concerns and eliminating external power components. The unit’s physical profile (42 × 40 × 53 mm) and 10 mm open-mount interface support quick retrofitting into existing outdoor light housings, including traditional British cast-aluminium or polycarbonate wall brackets. Enclosure material is certified flame-retardant ABS, rated for continuous operation between −10°C and +40°C and humidity levels up to 93% RH. A precision-moulded Fresnel lens ensures uniform infrared focus across the entire 160° arc, and the compact form factor does not compromise sensitivity—making it equally effective for detecting slow-moving individuals or rapid approach scenarios typical in home security and accessibility applications.
