The MCP23017 chip operates via a high-speed I2C interface, supporting frequencies of 100kHz, 400kHz, and 1.7MHz. This feature ensures fast data transfer and high performance in complex control systems. The chip is equipped with 3 address pins, allowing for 8 different addresses to be set, and up to 8 modules can be connected via two I2C buses.
