Recommended photovoltaic panel voltages For 12V battery systems, use photovoltaic panels around 18V. For 24V battery systems, use photovoltaic panels around 30V to 37V. For 48V battery systems, use photovoltaic panels around 60V. For photovoltaic arrays around 72V, follow the wiring and safety instructions below to avoid controller damage. Wiring and safety instructions Always connect the battery to the controller first, then connect the photovoltaic panel. When disconnecting, remove the photovoltaic panel first, then the battery. Failure to follow this , especially with highervoltage panels near 72V, can cause controller damage. Clock and charging voltage setup Clock setting: With the battery connected, press the clock set button to enter clock setup. Short press the clock set button to save. Charging voltage setting: After saving the clock, long press the set button for 3 to 5 seconds to enter charging voltage configuration. The display cycles through settings: LxxV shows the floating charge voltage and can be adjusted with the up and down buttons. HxxV shows the boost charge voltage and can be adjusted with the up and down buttons. FxxV shows the lowvoltage cutoff for the DC load and can be adjusted with the up and down buttons.
