10 Inch Dual Purpose Pre Filter

A 10-inch x 2.5-inch cylindrical water pre-filter, supplied in a 2-pack. Core construction includes thermally bonded polypropylene outer shell, graded-density pleated sediment layer (5-micron nominal), coconut-shell-based catalytic carbon bed, and proprietary heavy metal chelating granules. Total media depth exceeds 120 mm. Compatible with standard 10-inch filter heads using 1/4" or 1/2" NPT threaded ports. Maximum flow rate: 12 L/min at 3 bar inlet pressure. Service life: up to 6 months under average UK household usage (2–3 persons) or 3–4 months in moderate commercial settings (e.g., 10–15 staff office). Removes turbidity, suspended solids, chlorine, chloramines, hydrogen sulphide odours, and trace heavy metals. Does not soften water or remove dissolved minerals like calcium or sodium. Intended strictly as a pre-treatment stage — not a standalone drinking water solution — but significantly enhances safety and taste of water entering kettles, coffee makers, boiling taps and RO systems.
