DMX512 USB RS485 Interface Cable

This USB-powered DMX512 interface cable bridges computers and DMX lighting gear using RS485 physical layer signalling. It measures 1.8 metres, uses 26AWG 3-conductor wire with 4.0mm PVC insulation, and terminates in an XLR 3P female connector. At its core are the FT232 USB UART and SP485 RS485 transceiver, enabling half-duplex operation across a wide baud range (300 bps – 3 Mbps). It supports transmission over distances up to 5 km and includes on-chip ESD protection. Non-isolated architecture keeps size and cost low while retaining functionality for most fixed-install and portable applications. Configuration is saved in 1024-byte EEPROM, and vendor ID can be rewritten using Mprog3.5. Official drivers work on Windows (XP–10, x64, Server), macOS (8–X), Linux, Android, and Windows CE.NET.
