Compact Brass Pressure Reducing Valve

Approximate dimensions: 9 cm length × 7 cm width × 4 cm height. Constructed from solid brass with tight-tolerance machining; no plastic or plated components. Rated for PN1.6 (16 bar maximum inlet pressure), suitable for typical UK mains supply and campsite hook-up points. The regulator employs a passive mechanical design: inlet pressure compresses a calibrated spring via a brass diaphragm, which modulates a conical valve seat to restrict flow proportionally—higher inlet pressure opens the valve less, lowering outlet pressure, and vice versa. This self-contained system requires zero maintenance or external power. Primarily intended for mobile and temporary water setups—especially caravans, motorhomes and pop-up campsites—it prevents over-pressurisation damage to polypropylene filter housings, rubber-reinforced hoses and ceramic tap cartridges. Also verified for safe use upstream of domestic solar thermal collectors and instantaneous gas water heaters where pressure spikes risk seal degradation.
